"I am journalist Marc Guerrero - an exponent of the next "in" thing in media: "Journalism with Compassion."

I do business in Manila and across Southeast Asia as Marc Guerrero Communications Inc.

My startup media boutique is engaged in media management, media marketing communications, advocacy public relations and transformative technologies development.

I am trying AdWords now, actually, for the past few months already. But I am not getting through, Oh so successfully, for some technical reasons as a newby in online advertising.

I believe, however, that eventually (meaning, in the coming weeks, months, years) AdWords will greatly help my media entrepreneurship beyond my business expectations.

Marc Guerrero Communications Inc, in fact, can be the next "Googly" in my part of the globe.

Truth is, I have just blogged about AdWords turning 10 in http://cuzmarc.blogspot.com...

It's titled:

"AdWords is 10: Tell 'em your story, my AdWords 'successful business (hi)story' is still being drafted."

AdWords' runup to its 11th anniversary in November 2011 will not be complete without me, my business and my CSRs on its roster."

marc guerrerohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17040824624263003758noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1139939003496102863.post-13410147405397100282010-12-15T02:51:00.000-08:002010-12-15T02:51:23.493-08:00Nearly 200 days back...President Noynoy Aquino just did as we somewhat proposed, I confided in a buzz-off long ago to Manolo Quezon, a grandson of the Philippine Commonwealth President (classmate of my grandfather's, at the 400-year old University of Santo Tomas) and one of the many speech consultants of P-Noy.

The 15th President of the Republic of The Philippines "took his oath of office," more meaningfully, to 20 volunteers from the ordinary people's sectors via a Commitment to Change pledge, thus:

EARLIER, second President Aquino took a "more traditional" oath of office before Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the Philippines Conchita Carpio-Morales at high noon of the 30th of June 2010 in the Quirino Grandstand of the Rizal Park in Manila.

This offbeat presidential oathtaking was reminiscent of the decision of his mother, Cory Aquino, who in 1986, was sworn into the presidency by Associate Justice Claudio Teehankee.

Son Noynoy Aquino refused to allow Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the Philippines Renato Corona to swear him into office, due to Aquino's opposition to the midnight appointment of Corona by outgoing President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.

Months before the June 30th Inaugural, we proposed that Noynoy Aquino took his oath before 21 multisectoral representatives of the Filipino people at EDSA. Thank you for sharing your inaugural space with ordinary Filipinos. Pagpalain ang matuwid mong nilalandas!marc guerrerohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17040824624263003758noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1139939003496102863.post-39813923684333665442010-05-13T11:10:00.000-07:002010-05-13T11:10:46.167-07:00President-elect Noynoy Aquino may take his oath of office before 21 representatives of various sectors in Philippine society by Marc GuerreroBENIGNO SIMEON COJUANGCO AQUINO III, 15th President-elect of the Republic of The Philippines after Emilio Famy Aguinaldo (and not including their predecessors Manuel Luis Quezon, Andres Bonifacio and Jose Protacio Rizal Mercado y Alonzo Realonda et al), may take his oath of office on the 30th of June 2010 not necessarily before the (until May the 17th) Supreme Court Chief Justice Reynato Puno nor his successor (if Gloria Macapagal Arroyo will have her way), the next High Court CJ Renato Corona.

Noynoy Aquino as President may swear allegiance to The Philippines, to our flag and to the 100 million Filipino people in the country and in 100 countries that he will do “his utmost best” by the blessings of God and his heroic parents (Ninoy and Cory Aquino) before 21 “ordinary Filipino” representatives symbolizing 21 sectors that comprise Philippine society in the 21st century.

This is in keeping with the spirit, essence, substance, style and form of the First EDSA People Power Revolution in 1986 that catapulted a housewife into power which equalized a 20-year martial reign by a strongman.

Members of the High Tribunal together with the Archbishop of Manila and all the spiritual leaders of all religions or Faiths that keep our nation alive plus the nine presidential candidates who did not make it to the polls, may serve as great “witnesses” to the Aquino inaugural.

Pangulong Noynoy Aquino may enjoin all other winning candidates in the generally peaceful first automated-counting national and local elections of the 10th of May 2010 from vice president, senators, congressmen, governors, mayors down to the line of councilors, partylisters and all to take their respective oaths of office with him before the 21 sectoral representatives on June 30.

Presidente Noynoy Aquino Inaugural organizers may do the oath-taking not in Luneta or Malakanyang but at the Our Lady of Peace church in the corner of EDSA and Ortigas Avenue, the seat where “Freedom President of The Philippines” Cory Aquino and Jaime Cardinal Sin used to inspire people.

In the spirit of genuine reconciliation, the Aquino Inaugural organizers may have to make sure that Cielo Macapagal Salgado is there, Imelda, Imee and Bongbong Marcos are there, President Fidel Valdez Ramos and family are there, Joseph Ejercito Estrada, Loi Ejercito, Guia Gomez, Jinggoy Estrada, JV Ejercito and family are there, and the whole clan of Gloria Macapagal Arroyo will be there to show the whole wide world that “ours is a working democracy,” that has the great potential to become “better than America’s or Great Britain’s.”

Heads of states of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, including, perhaps, US State Secretary Hillary Clinton or Al Gore representing Barack Obama and other leading lights of circa-21 democracies may grace the Aquino inaugural together with the members of the diplomatic corps in Manila.

With such a noble and novel inaugural idea that goes along the tradition of the spirit of the first EDSA, “all is well that ends well.”

And then we can move on, move up and move to the right direction… faster than the speed of thought. If we can pack up in six years or 12 the 900-year democratic reconscientization processes before the French people acquired their Liberte, the better for the millions of Manny Villar’s mga batang paslit sa putikan.#marc guerrerohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17040824624263003758noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1139939003496102863.post-48613838652301784522009-10-15T02:40:00.000-07:002009-10-21T06:24:46.311-07:00Every Passing Second is a Chance for President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo to Redeem Herself by Turning The Philippines Around Now, Until the Next Ondoys or Ketsanas Hit the 'Pearl of the Orient' Unto Historical OblivionI am journalist Marc Guerrero, Filipino citizen of the world, holder of diplomatic 'Hopenhagen' passport No 2505576438. http://hopenhagen.org
It originated from the constellation of Libra. According to western astrologers, my sign is no longer aligned with the constellation as a result of the precession of the equinoxes. In astrology, Libra is considered a “masculine,” a positive (extrovert) sign. It is also considered an air sign and is one of four cardinal signs. With this House, we see a shift away from the self toward another – a partner. By cooperating with, and relating to, another, we unite for the purpose of achieving something. Purpose is important to the Seventh House, the act of accomplishing something great or small for the self, the partnership, and even society as a whole. In uniting with another, we also become a more valuable member of our world: we make a contribution, one small cog in the wheel of life. We have purpose.

In a quick-drive through the Hub Pages, a posting from a Chinese who goes by the lunar calendar revealed, Obama, born on the 4th of August 1961 (he is also 48 this year), is a metal ox.

He described the metal oxen as “a gentleman and a man who is very sure of himself.” They are often brilliant at what they chose to do in life and because of this they usually rise to positions of leadership quite easily.
Ox men, just like ox women, should never be underestimated. Often people make the mistake of underestimating them because of their cool, calm and quiet exterior – this is always a mistake. When an ox makes up his or her mind to do something, nothing at all can stop them.

Ox men read widely, they are well rounded and can engage in brilliant conversation that is full of substance. They respect people who have genuine knowledge of the topic at hand. However, in all cases, action speaks louder than words for the ox; you have to be able to back up your talk.

Ox people like Obama prefer people who are confident and sure of themselves, and who act and live accordingly. This applies to both men and women.

Hub added, Oxens in general are not considered romantic in the Hollywood sense of the word. Rather, the ox people are truly passionate and capable of great love and genuine loyalty. He won't give you diamonds and furs - again the Hollywood flash is not appealing when it comes to giving or receiving gifts, but he will give gifts of love that are practical, like a house, a car, investments, etc.

You won't attract this man with cheap seductive tricks. It is far better to respect his intellect and be a match for it.
Bloggers are more than journalists.

Move over, mainstream media. Here comes you, me, them, and We, the Media!

YouMedia and WeMedia are more interactive, more convergent, more interlinked and more interconnected with their newssources and newsmakers than the socalled mainstream media.

They can report the news, spice the news up with better features, and churn out their own first-person views, if not those of third parties, solicited or not, regarding any one or all personalities, events, places and passions, inside and out, up close and personal.

Compared to mainstream journalists, bloggers can report the news (as is, where is) and disseminate their news and views, in real time. You need not wait for the early- or late-night news on TV or tomorrow's edition of the newspaper to get any news live, and the protagonists and antagonists, alive, in living color, so to speak.

Add on to weblogging the socalled Web 2.0 social networking platforms, from Facebook and Twitter, to MySpace and Friendster, etcetera, and what will you get: It's the future of news. It's social media. It's future is now.
"Despite all the current hand-wringing about the dire state of newspapers, we are actually in the midst of a Golden Age for news consumers. We can surf the net, use search engines, access the best stories from around the world, and interact by commenting and forming communities.
"The days of publishing pooh-bahs dictating to us what's important and what's not are over. We now can get the news we want, when we want it, how we want it and where we want it.
"The Web has given us control over the news we consume. Now the explosive growth of online social networking is fundamentally changing our relationship with news as well. It's no longer something we passively take in. We now engage with news, react to news and share news.
"News has become an important element of community — something around which we gather, connect and converse. We all are part of the evolution of a story now — expanding it with comments and links to relevant information, adding facts and differing points of view.
"In short, the news has become social. And it will become even more community-powered: stories will be collaboratively produced by editors and the community, and conversations, opinion, and reader reactions will be seamlessly integrated into the news experience..."

But, of course, press freedom and related freedom of expression of bloggers, so with print or broadcast journalists, should be more responsible and more responsive to the call of the times. That can make bloggers as "more effective and more efficient" advocacy journalists, specially, if and when he or she practices the ethics and standards of decent, good taste, and fit to publish blog posts for all the world to take a quick-read or study in full.

Marc my word, bloggers as journalists and journalists as bloggers both deserve the same respect we accord the big and small professional practitioners of the fourth estate (the press and the media). Bloggers who are dubbed to belong to the "fifth estate" of the web's blogosphere have rights, too.

When in doubt, please refer to http://www.eff.org/issues/bloggers/legal regarding the legal rights of webloggers. Feel free to discuss its merits and demerits, uphold it, sustain it, improve upon it, and live it.marc guerrerohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17040824624263003758noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1139939003496102863.post-48257528713140990512009-10-12T08:44:00.001-07:002009-10-12T08:44:12.483-07:00I take offense<span style="color: #333333; font-family: Georgia; font-size: 10.0pt; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-language: EN-US;">I find these Blogger notices offensive.

The Philippines was a co-founder of the United Nations in 1945. The UN's Carlos Pena Romulo, a journalist before he became a diplomat, whom General Douglas MacArthur often referred to as "The General," our longest-serving Foreign Affairs Secretary who had earned the reverence of the world diplomatic community to address him as "Mr United Nations," and whom I had the honor of working with at my first newspaper job when I was 16 years old, was the longest-living signatory to the UN Charter until the 1980s.

That's my liberal and libertarian origin and foundation.

I also believe that journalism should be in synergy with truth in advertising, advocacy in public relations, and fair marketing practice.

In my book, however, freedom is not absolute.

Without responsibility and responsiveness to the call of the times, freedom is useless.

Freedom then becomes just an idea, not an ideal.
